Effects of climate change is irretrievable

Published by vinod65 at 9:27 am under current affairs Edit This

Effects of climate change is irretrievableThe biggest challenge of the environmental researchers today is to reduce the effects of climate change and try to make it reversible. But a team of environmental researchers said that there are many effects of climate change that are irreversible and even if the emission of carbon is stopped also, the worldwide temperature will continue to be high for next 1,000 years or so.

The scientists also said that at present oceans are helping a little in slowing the global warming as they are absorbing heat but in future they will release this heat back and then it will be difficult to tolerate the heat too. All this is because of the continuous rise in the carbon level in atmosphere.

The consequences would be less rainfall in dry areas of North America, Southern Europe, some parts of Africa and Australia.

As quoted by AP news agency, according to researcher Susan Solomon, the lead author of the report, “People have imagined that if we stopped emitting carbon dioxide the climate would go back to normal in 100 years, 200 years – that’s not true.”
